Little Miss Bradley has so many words now! I one day threaten her with teaching her sign language (as is standard in the baby-rearing world now) and she defies me by starting to talk! Granted, she will sign milk while saying "milk", but at least there is no question as to what she wants. Other words? Open, Up (as in I want to get up on the kitchen counter and help you cook), Milk, Mama, Dadee, Baba (Bama), Moo (Moops), Papa, Fis (Phineas) and Da (dog). Her Bama is also doing an amazing job of teaching her body parts. She was good at the usual suspects (head, foot, ear, nose, mouth), but yesterday she showed me her belly button (and tried to find mine), her teeth and hand. Next up - animal sounds.
Now the independence. Wow! She sure does know when she does not want something! This weekend for lunch, I put spaghetti O's and oranges in front of her. She said "no, no, no, no, no, no." to the spaghetti O's (looking at them) but would eat her oranges happily. After caving and giving her her PP&J, she ended up eating the spaghetti O's for dinner. But she was adamant about not wanting them for lunch!
And here are some wonderful pictures from the pumpkin patch with her Moops last weekend.
