Thanksgiving: While Bradley tried to sleep thru Thanksgiving with a three hour nap, we finally woke her up and tried to tempt her with a delicious Thanksgiving feast. However, she was having none of it and gave a firm "no" every time we offered her food. But she had fun running around and playing with everyone. Then it was off to chop down our Christmas tree!

Meeting Santa: We have been reading a lot of books and looking at pictures of Santa (aka "Sasa!") so that she would become familiar with him. Then he came to her house! Bradley invited her friends Benny and Avery over to meet Santa with her. Santa arrived and she thought he was a really neat guy. (Avery and Benny disagreed and vowed not to go near him). He gave them all a book and read to them. Bradley took to him immediately and sat in his lap to listen to the stories he read. Santa then had to get back to the North Pole to get all the toys ready for Christmas. Bradley was sad to see him go - but happy that she could see him again next year!
Daddy's Birthday: In honor of her Daddy's birthday, Bradley picked out a card and colored it special for him. Then we all went to dinner at Scalini's and had a fabolus meal with family and friends.

Christmas Day: Bradley's second Christmas did not start out too joyous. She got sick first thing in the morning with a tummy ache. But after sleeping if off she woke up ready to open her presents! Santa brought her a new school bus and an art easel. When the family came over that afternoon, she was very excited to open more presents! She was given a vacuum cleaner, books, clothes, toys, dolls and new shoes. She was so excited about her new shoes that she took the ones she was wearing off at once and put her new shoes on! Then we drove up to visit Big Papa Joe in the mountains and Bradley was delighted with her favorite present - Elmo Live! She finds it fascinating that Elmo talks to her and dances with her. Elmo even taught her to say "Bless you".
New Year's Eve: Knowing that the McFarlin household would not see midnight due to prior sleeping obligations, we joined friends for a sushi dinner. Since it was early and the restaurant was pretty bare, the kids had the run of the place and had fun running around playing. Bradley made a new friend with a five year old boy too!
New Year's Day: Donning her cutest Georgia spirit outfit, we headed over to a friend's house to watch the game and eat a lucky meal to ring in the New Year. Bradley danced and played and cheered for her bulldogs.
And now we are off on a new year and many new adventures to come. This year Bradley has some exciting new things to learn like potty training and sleeping in a big girl bed. She speaks about 50 different words now - and new words are coming out every day! She is still cutting those teeth very slowly - we are now at seven pearly whites - and she is trying to bear with the pain like a trooper.
Happy New Year!
